Music is a way of life for this New York born/Atlanta based singer, songwriter and producer, Angel Grant. Discovering a delight in singing at nine and songwriting at the tender age of twelve, this artist sailed onto the music scene when her demo found its way into the hands of mega-producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. The chemistry between the three led to her signing to Flyte Tyme Records in 1997. Her first single, “Lil Red Boat” was released in May of 1998 and her debut CD entitled “Album” was released a couple of months later on July 2, 1998.

Definitely ahead of her time, Angel was one of the first to set the trend of what we now know to be Neo-Soul. Her first single “Lil Red Boat” charted on the top 40 List and the accompanying music video was in heavy rotation on BET. Along with her printed interviews inside the pages of Cosmopolitan and VIBE, her appearance on Soul Train and live musical performance on BET’s Planet Groove won the hearts of many fans all over the world.

The positive music reviews and notoriety in Billboard, Interview and Trace Magazine only confirmed that this artist is undeniable. “I Wonder” marks her musical return for nearly a decade and make no mistake about it, Angel is back and her new CD is exactly what her fans have been waiting for. “I Wonder” is the first single to be released on January 26, 2010 and it is a record that reconnects you with the things you can never let
yourself forget.

For her self-written, composed and produced sophomore album, Angel taps into her eclectic and diverse musical influences with the freedom of an independent artist. This album solidifies Angel’s return to music leaving behind only the truest essence of her gifted songwriting, lyrical acumen, trademark harmonies and luscious
